Julia Kravets, owner of Little Choc Apothecary, is one such client on an impressive path of growth. Beginning her career as a fashion model, Julia knows how important nutrition is in maintaining a healthy physique. What began as a quest to stay in shape, morphed into an entirely new lifestyle focused on the intersection of health, sustainability, and animal welfare.

Prevu agent Macie Barnes sat down with Julia to discuss her business, what she loves about living and working in Williamsburg, and how she’s approaching her house hunt as a small business owner.

 

 

With a Plant Based Nutrition certificate from eCornell and a wealth of hands-on experience through the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC, Julia has combined her passions for wellness and sustainability with her love of all things sweet. Little Choc Apothecary is the first vegan and gluten-free creperie in NYC.

With sweet and savory options along with a range of inspired hot and cold beverages, there’s something to satisfy every customer.

 

 

Here are a couple of quick snippets from our Q&A with Julia:

Macie: What’s the most craveable item on your menu?

Julia: We have a burrito crepe that everyone goes crazy for. It has black beans, avocado, cashew cheese, homemade chipotle hot sauce, and homemade coconut bacon — it’s flakes of coconut, seasoned with our spices to make it smokey and crunchy, and it’s a perfect combination of those ingredients.

Macie: Why did you decide to open Little Choc in Williamsburg?

Julia: It was my dream location because the people here are amazing, they are so receptive to this kind of food. Obviously gluten free and vegan is hard to find, and the people who are looking for it are here… We have moms and artists and just a little bit of everyone. It’s great!
