Downtown Hoboken

Hoboken's hustle and bustle are much grander than the city’s size may suggest. Although Hoboken doesn’t technically have officially outlined neighborhood boundaries, it’s become common knowledge which areas can be called what.

Downtown Hoboken technically begins from 3rd Street, encompasses the lively energy of 1st Street, and culminates in the convenience of the Hoboken Terminal. Make no mistake that living in Downtown will virtually guarantee you one of the fastest commutes to NYC available in NJ.

The heart of Downtown Hoboken lies in its exquisite selection of eateries, bars, restaurants, and historic landmarks. The city’s boutique size gives residents the opportunity to get to their favorite locales without a tiring trek, so even if you settle in the northern reaches of Hoboken, you won’t have to travel far to get to the city’s top spots.

Although Hoboken is known to feature historic brownstones and some single-family homes, the Downtown section is a formidable display of some of the best condos available in New Jersey. Uptown Hoboken

Grab a pint at the Pilsener Haus & Biergarten, create your own morning coffee routine at bwè kafe, or make evening plans to dine at Barbes. You’ll also gain the extra perk of living next to a Trader Joe’s, so grocery shopping should be a breeze. 

Settling in Northwest Hoboken means living in the upper reaches of the city. Depending on where you’ll be commuting to in NYC, it may not make sense to travel all the way to Hoboken Terminal to hitch the PATH. The good news is that Willow Street has a stop servicing multiple NJ Transit buses that travel through the Lincoln Tunnel and connect commuters to Times Square 42nd Street in roughly 30-40 minutes.

Columbus Park
